The first season began like it was made from the early 1940s. Because the pace, the style, the characters and the jokes seemed to look classic.
The second season all the way to the forth season seem to look like it was made in the mid 1950s with a few elements to make it look like a fusion of Looney Tunes and Hanna Barbera cartoons.
Finally the recent season now looked more like the cartoons from the late 1970s. but got mopre wilder with the jokes like it was done by Tex Avery. And the backgrouns through out the years looked like it was done by one of Chuck Jones' layout men, Maurice Noble.
Yes, Dexter's Lab is Cartoon Network's first ever hit series.
